Non-Residential EV Supply Equipment Connections
Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) connections including, but not limited to, non-residential customer applications including Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations, such as publicly accessible direct current fast charging stations, workplace charging, charging stations used for commercial EV fleets and charging installations for multi-unit residential or commercial buildings, where EV chargers are owned or operated by the building owner or a third-party charging provider. Preliminary Consultation (Optional)
For non-residential EV charging connections level 2 and above, typically servicing fleet connections / multiple charging facilities, please fill out the optional preliminary consultation information request (EVPCIR Form) and submit to engineering@oakvillehydro.com. Oakville Hydro will respond within 15 calendar days confirming the EVPCIR form is complete or if additional information is required.
Connection Request
If a customer is looking to connect an EVSE to Oakville Hydro’s grid, an application must be submitted for commercial connection request, following these steps.
Oakville Hydro will respond within 15 calendar days confirming the connection request is complete or if additional information is required. Once the connection request submission is deemed complete, Oakville Hydro will provide an offer to connect within 45 calendar days of connection request.
The process is NOT applicable to EV chargers installed by individual residential customers or unit owners/tenants of a multi-unit residential building
