Oakville Hydro respects and values the constitutional rights, knowledge, and experiences of all Indigenous Peoples. Oakville Hydro is committed to building meaningful, long-term relationships with Indigenous communities in pursuit of reconciliation.
Oakville Hydro recognizes and commits to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. As such, per Call to Action 92, Oakville Hydro commits to the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples which acts as an international human rights instrument and provides a roadmap for lasting reconciliation, healing and cooperative relations with the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples of Canada.
In its ongoing effort to further reconciliation, Oakville Hydro is a committed business member of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) and the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program and commits all businesses to a pathway to PAIR certification.
