Oakville Hydro will design, construct and maintain an electricity distribution system and provide energy solutions to our customers in a manner that is environmentally responsible and safe. This Policy applies to all Oakville Hydro employees, service providers, contractors and subcontractors working on behalf of Oakville Hydro. Oakville Hydro will communicate this Policy to all employees and contractors employed by the company, and make it available to the public.

Oakville Hydro is committed to the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution. We value environmental stewardship and will look to sound sustainability principles to guide our decision-making.

Oakville Hydro is committed to the prevention of workplace injuries, for its employees, contractors, subcontractors, visitors and the public. Oakville Hydro will provide a workplace free of violence and harassment as we believe that all employees and contractors have the right to perform their work in an impartial and nurturing environment.

Oakville Hydro is committed to complying with all applicable environmental, health and safety compliance obligations.  

Oakville Hydro is committed to the continual improvement of its environmental, health and safety management system to enhance environmental, health and safety performance.

Oakville Hydro will engage and educate employees on the requirements of this Policy and the environmental, health and safety management system, and provide required training to employees.
